The Afghan women being pushed up against the wall - again.

Photo: Paula Bronstein, the Guardian.

Reading todays the Guardian, the blood in my veins freezes to ice, once again.
Because what is happening at the moment and will happen later this year, once the UN forces have pulled out of Afghanistan is scarying to tread.
And as always, the women are the victims, being forced back into their walled homes, under the wip of their masters, young girls having to leave their schools that would have educated them to see new possibilities and beyond the very low Afghan horizon.

When you read this articel, which is a must, you will realise yourself how "meaningless" it has been to have the UN forces present in Afghanistan, trying to bring human rights, democracy and justice for women to the country with stone-age-taditions.
And don´t come draging that old argument that "the West" are there to get lay their hands on oil or minerals. There is no oil or very little, minerals I do not know anything about.
On the other hand there are lots of opium to be harvested and sold to the West. Harvested by the Talibans and their "village-chiefs". And God knows who else?

The talibans are already taking over, or being so powerful that a new Afghan law will allow men to attack their wifes, children ans sisters. Yes attack. Without having to fear judicial punishment.
"Hounor" killings, forced marriages and abuce within the family is back as in the bad old days.
"The most vulnerable people wont´get justice now" says the Guardian.

And if this wasn´t enough, the Justice ministry has floated a proposal to bring back stoning as a punishment for adultery.
Stoning?

The women of Afghanistan live in a horrified world, which will get worse.
